PingPhong

Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 16, 2026

PingPhong (the “app”) helps you find your phone by clapping or calling its name, and alerts you when the charger is unplugged or someone moves your phone. The app has no accounts, and the developer does not collect your personal information or send it to any server. To keep the app free, it shows Google AdMob ads, and Google may collect some information when it does.

Microphone

While listening is on, the app analyzes microphone audio in real time to recognize claps and your recorded voice. All analysis happens on your device. Audio is never recorded to a file or sent off the device.

When you register your voice, the app stores only numbers that describe the sound’s features, not the audio itself. You can delete them at any time with “Delete voice” in the app.

Photos and sound files

Files and photos you pick for an alarm sound or alarm screen background are copied into the app’s storage and used only for alarms. They are never sent off the device.

Motion and battery state

The intruder alarm uses the motion sensors to tell whether your phone was moved, and the charging alert uses the charger connection state. This information is used only on your device and is not stored or sent.

Unlock code

The 4-digit unlock code for the intruder alarm is stored securely in the iOS Keychain. The developer cannot see it.

Ads (Google AdMob)

The app shows rewarded ads only when you choose to watch one. When an ad is shown, Google may collect the advertising identifier (IDFA, if you allow tracking), IP address, device information, and records of ads you viewed or tapped, and use them to serve ads, measure performance, and prevent fraud.

You can choose whether to allow tracking in the prompt shown before your first ad, and change it later in iPhone Settings › Privacy & Security › Tracking. Users in the European Economic Area, the UK, and Switzerland can make their choice on a consent screen.

For details, see the Google Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from partner apps.

Storage and deletion

All information the app handles stays on your device and is removed when you delete the app.

Children

The app is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will post the update on this page and revise the effective date.
